Who We Are
Joe Turbak
Project Manager/Estimator
Nickname you prefer to be called:

Joe

What’s a typical day look like for you?

Wake up, hit snooze, wake up, hit snooze.  Shower; brush teeth; get dressed; wake up kids; feed them (apparently they need to eat everyday); get them ready to go to daycare; go to work;  hide in bathroom for 20-30 mins; stare at computer screen for an hour; ignore first 5 phone calls;  answer every other call after that.  I try to sneak away for lunch around 11 so I can be back by 1.  In the afternoons I shuffle papers all over my desk so it appears that I am working hard.  I go on jobsite “visits” so that I can drive around till 4ish.  Once I get back to the office I send out a couple emails, “mostly jokes” and then wrap the day up with a beer.

I spend most of my days on the phone with Clients, Contractors, Architects and Engineers going over plans that we are either bidding or are already in the process of constructing.  I typically have 1-2 meetings a day.  I try to have lunch with my wife as many times a week as I can so that I remain anchored.  Running projects, bidding projects and searching for new projects is a never ending task.  As we continue to grow, figuring out how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together is becoming more of a focus.
